SERIES BEGINS SEPT. 25 WITH SYMPOSIUM ON RAIL TRANSIT

A new symposium series exploring the Baltimore region's next major
transit corridor begins Tuesday, September 25.  Jeff Boothe, Chair of
the New Starts Working Group, will lead the discussion of "How Rail
Transit is Re-Shaping Region's Across America," from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at
the University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Auditorium.  Over the coming
seven months, the series, "Imagine the Possibilities," will help set a
context for the Maryland Transit Administration's consideration of new
high-capacity transit improvements for the Baltimore region, such as
light rail, heavy rail, and bus rapid transit.  The series is presented
by the MTA and co-sponsored by the Baltimore Regional Partnership, the
Greater Baltimore Committee, and the Baltimore Regional Transportation
