LAST THREE VISION 2030 MEETINGS THIS WEEK

The public meetings for the Baltimore region's Vision 2030 process wrap
up this week with a meeting Monday, May 6 at Western High School in
Baltimore City; Tuesday, May 7 at the Cardinal Gibbons School in
Baltimore City; and Wednesday, May 8 at Southwest Academy in Baltimore
County.  These meetings, held 7:00 to 9:00 PM, will give the public
their last opportunity this spring to offer their views on the future of
our metropolitan area over the coming three decades.

The region's local governments launched Vision 2030 in May of 2001 to
develop a framework for the future of the Baltimore region.  With
additional support from the Baltimore Regional Partnership, the Vision
2030 process has included a series of public meetings around the region.
At these meetings, people have had the chance to offer ideas for the
region's future, respond to four paths the region could take in terms of
growth and transportation infrastructure, and comment on values
developed by stakeholders from around the region.

Meetings this week are listed below.  All meetings start at 7:00 PM,
with registration beginning at 6:30 PM:

May 6
*Western High School
4600 Falls Rd., Baltimore City

May 7
*Cardinal Gibbons School
3225 Wilkins Ave., Baltimore City

May 8
*Southwest Academy
6200 Johnnycake Rd., Baltimore County
